During summer camp, children will have the opportunity to borrow and play with our handmade, thoughtfully crafted chess sets—designed to make learning both tactile and meaningful. And here’s a special gift:
All students who enroll in our after-school chess program will receive a free chess set to take home! It's our way of encouraging continued growth, practice, and connection beyond the classroom.

Inclusivity Through Movement-Based Learning

Traditional chess is often a sit-still, focus-intensive activity, which can be challenging for neurodivergent children who may thrive through movement, tactile engagement, and multisensory experiences. By incorporating physical activities, storytelling, and interactive play, children who struggle with conventional learning methods can fully participate and enjoy the game. Moving like a knight, stretching like a bishop, or physically acting out strategic plays allows kinesthetic learners to grasp chess concepts in a way that feels natural and engaging.
